Storm clouds are on the horizon....
There is another round of layoffs scheduled for this Friday. This time nobody knows what the criteria for getting the axe is. The work atmosphere sucks due to this fact. It's hard to justify working late and coming in early if my project has been chosen for the corporate junk pile. I really hate this. Plus, my boss is starting to lay a guilt trip on me for leaving work to, as he put it, "look after that damn dog. I knew it would screw things up" F#@$ HIM. Last time I checked my agreement it didn't say "Have a personal life so long as it doesn't interfere with your ability to work 12 hour days." Next time he starts in with that crap I'm gonna lose it. He almost got hit earlier this week. Ugg
We've come too far as a team just to have some short-sighted executive (who probably has never seen our project) decide it's future. The unfair part is that our project is still in development / pre-production and hasn't had the full support of sales and marketing to push it out the door. So on paper the project has earned very little (if any) revenue for the company. In the short time I've been in the work force I have had an average of 1 layoff round a month. It kills productivity!! Anyway...when it's your time it's your time I guess.
Damn, I hate this.
