Greetings to one and all! It’s been a while since I last blogged, seems to be the trend lately ;) In any event, things actually are starting to get interesting in my neck of the woods. The company I work for seems to be wising up on some levels of management. This is a good thing. The general feeling is that if we are going down it won’t be because I was a silent participant in the whole thing. Lots of very “heated” emails being sent to those on top of the mountain. It’s actually kind of neat to watch people wake up finally. What was the Fight Club quote? Something like you can’t be free to do anything until you give up all hope. I butchered that and I apologize but I don’t have the time to plod through the movie to find it. Sorry :P

In other news my dog has gotten MUCH bigger. I can’t believe that he was only 8 lbs when I got him. Soon he will become an it. THE operation. I am going to try and schedule it over my furlough weeks that are coming up at the end of the month. Oh yeah, I get two more weeks off soon. From 5/24 to 6/3 and then the week of the 4th of July. Anybody want to do anything? Please? Anyone? My friend Al is coming down for a few days but other than that I am free. Day trip? Anyone, Buhler? I really want to avoid sleeping in till noon and staying up till 4 am like last time. It messes with my natural clock something fierce. Plus it really isn’t good for me ;)

Remember when you were a kid and you always wanted new toys even though the ones you had were fine? You know, just for the sake of having something new in you life? Well, I am going through that right now. Except now I have more resources at my disposal so I am exponentially more dangerous. I’ve gone from almost buying a motorcycle to now looking into a used Jeep Wrangler (4.0L 6 cylinder of course). My parents think I am nuts. I think I just need a girlfriend and am trying to compensate ;) In any event, I have a test drive scheduled for this Saturday. The price is right but we will see if the car is. I don’t need the damn thing but I have this urge to get something new. WHY? I need help :p Alissa, I believe this would be your field of expertise.

So, that’s my petty problem of the moment. I think everyone needs something like this to distract them from the real world. Otherwise you’d overload from the seriousness. The world needs a reboot button right about now. Start over and try again. A cosmic mulligan if you will (gotta fit golf in here somewhere). Right now the news I am seeing is at opposite extremes. The “Happy face Bomber” (can you believe that?) and the whole Mid-east thing are on one end and at the other is the Anna Kournikova issue. The absurdity of the whole thing astounds me. Anywho…

Time for bed.
