I’d like to start this entry by saying thank you for all the kind words and support I’ve received in the past week or so. It hasn’t gone unnoticed. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: It’s good to have friends :)
Anywho…I am feeling MUCH better now. I’ve had some time to sort stuff out and I feel a lot better about my current “gov’t funded vacation”. I do plan on heading back to the engineering field after all. I can still do some of the less than orthodox things till I get that tech job I suppose. But, the overall goal is to make some noise in the tech field still.
OH OH!! I just saw Memento last week (I am way behind the trend curve ;-) ) and I loved it. If you haven’t seen it go rent it.
Day to day life right now is funny. I actually have to make an effort to remember what day it is when I wake up. I never had a problem with that when I was in school or when I was working. So, if I talk to you and I have no idea what day it is don’t worry, it’s not drugs ;) When you don’t have to be anywhere time frames really don’t mean all that much. It’s odd but that’s what I miss about working in general. Other than the people I mean.
In talking with my dad it seems as though there may be some temp work coming my way. They need help with Microsoft Project. He knows that I lived on that program during my co-op so he asked if I was interested in helping. Being as bored as I am right now I said yes.
So, what is everyone doing for the 4th? I am heading up to State College to visit my little brother. Loki will be in tow as usual. He is really starting to enjoy car trips. Aside from moments of pure destructive puppy energy he is turning into the dog I hoped he would. Plus he seems to like my music (ok, so I am guessing here). This time up we will be heading down to Old Main lawn for an afternoon. I will teach him how to catch a Frisbee if it kills me.
So, other than tinkering with my car stereo that’s sums up my life to date. Like I said last week, I will be calling many of you to visit your area of the country. I don’t eat much and I don’t take up much room ;)
Later all!
