Wow! It’s been a while since I last made an entry. Usually I would say that my reason for my absenteeism was due to nothing happening in my life but this time it is the exact opposite. I think in the last 3 weeks I’ve been in my apt a grand total of 16 hours :p

It all started back at the beginning of September. The 6 th to be exact. I went to Virginia for a long weekend to visit a friend from college and attend a NASCAR race. When I got back from that trip I started up the ol’ job hunt again. By Tuesday of that week I had an interview scheduled for that Thursday, in Maine! So, I dropped the dog off at the parents house on Wednesday morning and took off for all points north. 9.5 hours later I arrived at my destination. The interview took place the next day. It went amazingly well. On Friday I headed back to PA to pick up my dog. I arrived home around 6:30 Friday night. I ate and then immediately headed off to PSU to watch what would eventually be the best home game I had ever been in attendance for. We destroyed Nebraska. YEAH! I spent the rest of the weekend with my brother and his friends.

I headed back to my apt on the 16th. I had just enough time to unpack that afternoon when I got a call from the company in Maine. They offered me a job!!!! I said I would think about it and get back to them ;p At this point they invited me to a conference being held in Philly from the 22nd to the 25th. I accepted of course.

From the 20th till the 22nd I was house sitting for my parents. So, when they returned that Sunday I headed off to Philly to the CNS convention. WAY to much information was thrown at me during that 3 day stay. But, it was still a lot of fun and I was invited up to Maine for a week or two. On Wed the conference ended and I met up with some Fraternity alumni who live in the area. The next day I headed back to pick my dog up. On the way home I got a call from my ex-neighbor, Brian, and he wanted to know if I’d be up for going to the PSU game that weekend. SO, I was off to State College again.

After the game I spent the evening mourning the loss to Iowa. The next day I packed my stuff and my dog up and headed back to Maine. Whew!!! And here I am. Sitting at my temporary desk in Maine.

And what am I doing you ask? Well, I am working as a Product Development Engineer for a company that makes instrumentation and apparatus for cellular research, intra-operative recording and microneurography (stuff for brain surgery). I also get to be an in-service installation and training engineer. This means I get to go into the operating room and be on hand as a living reference guide for our equipment. I went to my first procedure on Wed. It was amazing!!! Anywho…that’s where I am right now. I’ll write more when I get home next week (Thursday I think). Later
