Good evening all! Wow, lots of activity since my last entry. Where to start……
First off, I didn’t go to Europe. The day I got the word that I didn’t have to go I did my happy little “I don’t have to travel” dance around the office. Traveling to Europe on business is a lot like traveling here except over there I feel completely stupid, ignorant, and down right lost :) Plus, last time I was there I didn’t see anything except the inside of hotels, cars, and hospitals. NOT fun. Instead I have been running around PA doing my doctor’s helper bit. Recently I saw my first “spurter”. For those who don’t know what that is I’ll try to be as graphic as possible: Imagine a water cannon that shoots red water, now place that cannon in someone’s head. Kinda like that. Oh, and as an added treat I saw part of a kidney transplant. Thank goodness for large windows in the OR. So, that’s the work life update.
On the social front I have good news. I actually had a blind date that worked out! I bucked the odds people. The last few I have been on ended roughly the same way, horribly. But for what ever reason this one worked. I choose the safest location for a blind date I could think of, a concert. I figured that if we ended up not having anything to talk about it wouldn’t matter because it would be too damn loud to talk anyway. It was real easy to think of one minute topics in between songs ;p So, this all took place last Thursday. Date 2 was last Saturday and date 3 is tomorrow. The only hurdle for me was the age difference. I’ve always said that I wouldn’t date anyone younger than my brother. Well, I broke it big time. She’s only 20 and still in college. But, oh well. I didn’t date much in college so I look at it as making up for lost chances :) I refuse to make any of my old mistakes this time around. The only plan I have right now is to have as much fun as possible. Period. Past that I don’t care right now. Maybe later
Remember a while ago I mentioned that odd things keep happening to me? Well, it happened again. Earlier this week I was packing my car to go to work and a bunch of high school students were hanging out in the parking lot behind my place. As I was putting stuff in the trunk one of them started yelling at me about something. So, I asked him what he wanted. He said “My friend wants to tell you something.” Then out of nowhere this girl says to me “I just wanted to let you know that I think you have a cute butt.” I didn’t know how to respond. So, I said “Thanks. I’m late for work.” I got in my car and drove off, quickly. Hmmm, finally high school girls find me attractive. I guess this is a good thing (?)
Anyway, that’s it from my end.
